Badger must be adopted with his brother, Smokey (adopted).
Description:
Badger and his brother and best pal Smokey have had a roller coaster ride the past couple or more weeks. Their beloved person passed away and Badger and Smokey were left in the house frightened, confused and alone by other family members with only someone to stop by a couple of times a day to give them food and water. When a family member was asked by the kind neighbor across the street what the plan was for these babies, this person responded that they would be going to a shelter or perhaps just euthanized! The neighbor, justifiably horrified, jumped into action in order to save these sweet boys! After reaching out to a friend who had adopted two babies from ATDR the wheels started rolling and within 24 hours a wonderful foster family in Quitman where they lived was found who went to the house to take these babies to safety!
Upon arriving in their new foster home, both boys are responding lovingly to lap snuggling and hugs and the kindness of new people who they now recognize as friends.
Badger is initially more skiddish but bonds quickly in a calm lap. He would rather snuggle next to someone than anything else. He is the definition of a lap dog. He is not initially as friendly, but warms up.
Badger and Smokey are both trained to a doggy door. Without a doggy door, they will each go to the door when they need out and come back to the door to be let in when they’re finished. Playing together or entertaining themselves separately with a toy can be a part of their daily routine! Both have good appetites and enjoy the great vittles dished out at this wonderful new house. They both enjoy their new life snuggling in the big chair together and with their foster mom to enjoy TV in the evenings, and both boys have quickly made themselves quite comfortable sleeping in the big bed!
These lovely bonded brothers must be adopted together and would be perfect for someone looking for two pups who have already learned to put their best paws forward all the time, instead of having to be trained.
