Hiya everypawdy, my name is Shay! I’m around 7-8 yrs old and the perfect size mini dachshund. So perfect my foster mommy thinks I was a backyard breeder momma. After having several litters they just threw me away and left me to fend for myself. Thank goodness somebody found me and turned me in to the local shelter. ATDR saved me and now I stay with my foster mommy.

Currently I live with 5 other dachshunds and I like them, but I don’t really play with them. We just hang out together. What I really do like is TOYS!! They are the best things ever!! Squeak squeak squeak!! I like them so much I don’t like it when my new friends try to take them. But my mom can and she plays with me.

My mom works so I stay in a crate during the day. I like a little crate with my bed. I don’t go potty in it and just rest quietly next to my friends in their crates. Soon as mom pulls in the driveway the party starts. I squeal with excitement and give her lotsa kisses!! I love sitting with her in the chair with my friends and we all sleep in the big bed with her. Oh how I love to snuggle under the covers, and I sleep all night long.

I would really like to find a home where someone would love me like my foster mom does!! I eat really good and super yummy food. My mom gets sad when she looks at my tail cuz I don’t have much hair on it, and my little back legs have some owies on them too from being in a crate for most of my life. Mom puts cream on me and tells me they will get better now that I have good food.

Please please please say a prayer for me and help me find my forever home! ❤️
