Nelson (as in Willie) is a stunningly gorgeous little guy who was surrendered by a family with four children (about ages 10-12 up) who are home-schooled and have a lot of friends coming and going from the house. Nelson needs time to warm up to strangers and flatly doesn't like boys he doesn't know (the human kind) and, being an alpha dog, he doesn't do well with dogs who are anything but totally submissive, expecially other male dogs. He needs to be in a quiet home with no children and pretty much none coming and going. He needs either to be the only pet or perhaps have a submissive female dog as a companion. He is doing well with the female dogs in his foster home. Nelson needs to live with someone with patience who is experienced in handling dogs...not just someone who is experienced with having dogs for pets...

Nelson LOVES going on walks, soft blankets, plush toys and doggy bones! He will be very loving, devoted and protective of whomever becomes "his person or persons" in life! He loves cuddling and sleeping in the big bed under the covers if allowed. He's totally potty-trained and will scratch at the door when he needs to go outside and come back to be let in. He's just not good with hoopla or dealing with crowds!
