Sweet Mia April, better know as just "Mia" to her family and friends, and her precious tiny babies, May, Juno and Auggie, were surrendered by their owner to an animal shelter. Their being frightened and feeling alone, ATDR quickly stepped up taking this little family into its fold. Little mama and babies are settling into a comfortable foster home where they will be cared for and loved until they're all ready to go to forever homes. As of June 3, these little ones are about 6 weeks old, thus needing the love and care of Mia for at a while longer.

Mia is a beautiful miniature red girl, coming into rescue underweight at 8 pounds but needing to weigh about 11. With the good care and quality food she's now receiving from their foster mom, she'll receive plenty of nutrition to see her pups through and get back to a stronger size for herself.

Stay tuned as we learn more about Mia and her little ones to report. In the meantime, Mia is dreaming of the day when she will have her own forever home where she will be pampered and cared for with the same love as she's now giving her babies.
