This is Augie and he’s an absolute sweetheart! He came to ATDR because his owner was hoarding Dachshunds and kitty cats. Poor Augie, like the others, didn’t receive much individual attention, but he is soaking up the love in his ATDR foster home and has quickly become the biggest cuddlier and lover ever! All he wants is to be close to his humans…he LOVES sleeping in the big bed! Augie is very well minded and responds to hand claps! He’s a good boy and not at all afraid of thunder and lightning! Even though Augie is about eight years old, he doesn’t act like it. He LOVES running and playing with squeaky toys and really needs a nice fenced in back yard! His foster mom says he saw himself in a mirror and he keeps going back to admire his handsome self again and again! 

Augie has completed his dental and did great and is ready for his forever home. He was separated from his best friend Spanky when he was rescued and needs a playmate and a back yard where he can run. He is a really sweet boy who just wants to be loved by his humans.
