Lady is a beautiful 12-year-old long-haired dapple girl with a blue eye! She originally came from a breeder in an earlier life, but very sadly, Lady found herself homeless and in a shelter when her owner had a massive stroke. Even sadder, the remaining family didn’t want this baby after her owner passed away. ATDR immediately jumped at the chance to help this sweet girl, bringing her into their fold and placing her in a comfortable loving foster home. Lady’s foster mom says: She is the happiest, most loving little thing I have ever seen. She is happy anywhere and is always smiling – doesn’t get upset during bad weather or get nervous at the vet or in the car like many pups. She loves to have lap time for a few minutes several times a day and is then happy to go lie down and nap. She likes toys, but is not obsessive. She eats well, but is not food-driven. At 18 pounds she is overweight, but she’s being treated to a good nutritious spa diet in an effort to help her trim down a bit! She’s friendly with other dogs but prefers to keep to herself or her human. She goes out at 8:30 pm, gets in her crate and sleeps until 7:00 am. She really only barks or whines when she is ready to be loved on. AND SHE IS HOUSE TRAINED…hasn’t had one accident in the house since her first day! What can I say…Lady is pretty much the perfect dog!
If you have it in your heart to offer a lovely senior Lady a loving place in your heart and home, please submit an adoption application for her. She would be the perfect little friend and companion to share that comfortable chair with!
