Pretty little Chrissy wandered up to a home out in the country. The person living there took her to the vet’s office to check for a chip, but none was found. Not being able to keep her, she was posted on a lost and found site and thankfully an ATDR volunteer responded, taking Chrissy home to love and care for her. This tiny baby was very thin and suffered from some skin issues...probably from diet and/or fleas...which have now been addressed. She was a bit shy at first, but she's a very sweet girl once she gets to know you. Chrissy’s foster mom feels it might be possible that she was abused at some time in her young life, but she is doing so much better now!
Chrissy loves to play and would adore having another dog her size to play with. She gets along beautifully with the two dog-friendly cats in her foster home and is respectful of their space. She loves being with her person, is good on a leash and in the car and listens when she hears commands. When it’s time to go to bed, Chrissy takes her blanket and throws it over herself and goes to sleep...she is just so cute! Being home most of the time, her foster mom has never crated her but feels she would probably be okay with that. Chrissy is also fully house trained!
It is recommended that Chrissy goes to a home with either older children or no children at all due to her small size. If you’re looking for a tiny treasure to share life with and be your best friend, please submit an adoption application for Chrissy. She’s a precious girl who deserves the best loving home possible.
