Special Needs: Belinda had chronic pancreatitis and a prolapsed rectum. They think she had cancer. They spent a fortune and we need to pay them back. The Euthanized the dog at the ER. Dear Barbara: Just a note to let you know how sorry we are about Belinda/Zazu. I know she had had some issues, but had no idea they were so significant and debilitating. I hope that having you with her until the end was of comfort to her – and we thank you for being there for her in all she went through for the short time with you. I really feel now hearing that her gastrointestinal issues were so significant, she must have had an malignancy of some kind. Her Mom’s cancer was primary mammary but by the time we got her and removed the large tumor it had spread everywhere. We will try to work with you on the expenses, and realize that our San Antonio vet truly failed her and I wish we could have done better for that sweet girl. We all share your loss and hope that when the time is right that we can help you find a companion to ease your grief. Again, I am so sorry – and we feel terrible and feel so sad about Belinda/Zazu. Belinda is a very cute young female Chiweenie whose name is bigger than she is! She looks and acts more like a Dachshund, but her smaller stature and ears suggest some Chihuahua mixed in. Belinda is estimated to be between two and fou

r years old and is in good health, although she could stand to gain a couple or more pounds! She walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs and even kitty cats! She does well in her kennel but enjoys being outdoors too. This baby is a little timid at first, as she has clearly been neglected in the love department, but she opens up rather quickly and welcomes human affection. You can’t help but adore Belinda for her sweetness!
