Blake and his brother and best friend Shelton came from Oklahoma where a Good Samaritan found them. She immediately took them to see a veterinarian because Blake was severely burned. At present, we don’t know how this happened to this sweet beautiful boy. ATDR’s hearts went out to this bonded pair and we had them transported down here as quickly as possible. They are now settled into a safe, comfortable foster home receiving the loving care they both need. Their foster mom reports that they’re both house trained, very well behaved and she’s never heard them bark. When one walks into another room the other goes looking for him...they prefer sleeping in the same crate or bed together…

It’s heartbreaking that Blake’s hair will probably never completely grow over the long scar on his back, but even through whatever tragedy happened to him, he has remained sweet, loving and so very grateful he has kind people to take care of him now. Stay tuned as his boy becomes healed and whole again!

Sadly, Shelton tested positive for heart worms and is facing treatments, so he and Blake won’t be ready to go for about three months.

These babies are extremely attached to each other and must be adopted together. They are both precious beyond words and so worthy of a good stable forever home together!
