Say hello to Ozzy! This precious boy found himself in a shelter when his beloved person passed away. Family members who would have kept him all had big dog...they reported that Ozzy was fearful of big dogs and surrendered him to a shelter. However, he encountered a Great Dane on a leash walk with his foster mom and showed no fear of him. In any case, ATDR immediately picked him up when called…
Ozzy is a wonderful companion who just wants to be near his person. He loves taking walks and curling up in his doggie bed burrowing next to his owner at night when he sleeps. He does great with the little dogs in his foster home! After many years of dental neglect, Ozzy had to have all his teeth removed when he was taken for his dental…he will need to be fed a soft diet; i.e., hard kibbles soaked overnight in water, canned food, etc. We were told that at one time Ozzy weighed upwards to 30 pounds and he has some loose belly skin as a result. We must be careful not to overfeed him so he doesn't gain any of that weight back again. Thankfully he tested negative for heartworms. And... *drum roll please* ...Ozzy is completely house trained!
This curious boy enjoys nothing better than exploring in the backyard so he will need a forever home with a fenced yard. He definitely must be kept on a leash if outside of the fenced yard...he excitedly forges forward in search of new and exciting things and smells when outside! If you’re looking for a great little guy for a best friend to share all good things in life with, please submit an adoption application for Ozzy. Don’t let this easy-going sweet pup slip through your fingers!
