My name is Bert and before coming into rescue, I was really down on my luck.  My former owner,  was a breeder and dumped me.  I was so skinny from not eating, covered in fleas and had all kinds of worms in my stomach.   But my luck has really turned around and now I am so happy.  Just look at my beautiful, shiny coat and my nice physique.  I am calm and lovable and easy to get along with.  I feel like I hit the jackpot!  And I am betting that when you take me home with you, you'll feel like you hit the jackpot, too!  I can't wait until we play together!

Note - Bert will do best in a home with women only.  He seems to be fearful of some, but not all, men.  In order to reduce his stress level and to ensure a successful adoption, an all female household will be best.
