Oso was surrendered to the City Pound in terrible shape. He is missing hair and smelled like mange, seemed to have lived outside for a long time without any human interaction. His ears were severely infected as were his eyes and nose, extremely runny and congested. Oso walks with a limp and will be starting on an anti-inflammatory as well as antibiotics and medicated baths to help improve the condition of his skin. He was very happy to soak in a tub and relax in the warm water and get as clean as possible on the first bath since coming into fostercare.
Oso means Bear in Spanish and he is a gentle giant. Just calm and so grateful to be indoors and have a soft place to land. He has many health issues including a giant tumor on his penis and is also high positive for heartworms. He has a very long road ahead of him but seems to take it all in stride, just happy for a little attention and love.
Please stay tuned for updates on Oso's health journey and keep him in your prayers. His medical care will be costly so any donation is a step in the right direction and no amount is too small.
