Say a big hello to Rosie! This gorgeous girl came into rescue when a breeder fell on ill health and surrendered some of her dogs. She has the need for speed...she hurries everywhere! She has an abundance of puppy enthusiasm, being ready to see, sniff, taste, and possibly bark at any and everything. Her ears are always inside out due to the speed and bounce with which she approaches life. Rosie's ideal role is leading all security patrols, inside the house and out. She loves to please, wanting to be near her people once she has decided to accept them. She was very very shy when she became an ATDR pup but seems to have realized most people can be entertaining for a busy girl. Rosie is always available for a quick belly rub!
Rosie loves a nice walk through the neighborhood! She enjoys supervising all neighborly activities, cicada crunching and grasshopper chasing, as well as squirrel and bunny stalking. Her house training is coming along well. She's great with other dogs, but how she feels about kids and cats is unknown. Presently car rides make her nauseous, hopefully practice will improve her travel tolerance. 8.16.24 Update: Rosie has made several short car rides without being nauseous. She rides best if she is not in a crate and can see out. She is becoming increasingly friendly when meeting strangers but still needs a patient adopter. She currently sleeps in a crate but would also make a great snuggle sleeper.
Rosie will do best with a confident doggy buddy in a forever home. She's highly energized so a securely fenced in back yard would certainly be a big plus, giving her a place to spend some of that energy freely. If you're up to the task of keeping up with this beautiful inquisitive girl, please submit an adoption application for Rosie! With kind patience and gentle discipline, she will soon become the best little friend and companion you could ever hope to have!
