It was a cold and rainy night when I was finally rescued by the human with 2 other dachshunds.   My name is Zeus or that is what they call me around here.   I’m about 4 yrs old the vet said, which makes me older than these other two dogs.   They are much more playful and I just like to snuggle up under a blanket and sleep.   You know sleep is the meaning of life.   The vet said I was in good health but then she stuck me with a bunch of needles so I would have my vaccinations up to date.  She also stuck something in my back they call a chip.  They said if I would have had a chip before I could have gone back to my other family.  I miss them.   When the man found me I was cold and hungry.   The vet said I weighed 8 pounds but the man fed me some real good food and now I’m at an even 10 pounds.   They call me a “Dapple” which I think means cute and they say something about short hair but I know that means cold.  The other dogs have this real long hair and the woman human keeps the house very cool so I like my blankets.  I like the grandkids when they come to play and I love to sit on people's laps.   I would love to stay here but 3 dogs are just a little too much for these humans.  Plus I would like to have a human all to myself.   It’s hard for 3 dogs to snuggle with one human. 

Please help Zeus find the perfect lap of his own!
