Katie is a beautiful, shiny black and tan little girl. I named her Katie because she was dumped at a vet’s office in Katy, with her nails painted!!! She is about 4-5 years old, spayed, heartworm negative and very healthy (according to the vet). She appears to have been well cared for. She is a very good girl. She has not had any accidents in the house so I would say she is house trained! She doesn’t let me know when she needs to go out but she’s always ready when I open the back door and say “outside” - she just needs someone to take the initiative to let her out. She stays in an exercise pen with her young rambunctious foster brother while I’m at work during the day but I think she can be trusted to be free in the house. I call her a velcro dog because she sticks to me wherever I go. She loves to sleep in bed and hardly moves all night long and likes to snuggle up against me. She gets along great with her foster brothers (the young one and the senior one). She is not a chewer. She doesn’t play with balls, chew toys or squeaky toys but if she sees you touch a leash, she goes nuts. She loves going for walks, car rides and especially sitting on your lap even if she has to share it with 2 other doxies. She is not food aggressive at all and you won’t lose a finger when you give her a treat. She is a real lady.
