Hi, my name is Casper (the friendly dog).  I was at a high kill facility when dachshund rescue was called to pick up a "wire hair dachshund puppy".  When my foster mom came and took me out of my kennel, she could tell pretty quick that I'm not really a dachshund.  Once I was in her arms, she said she couldn't put me down.  I'm so lucky.  Foster mom thinks I just might have a tiny bit of dachshund in me but she thinks I look more like a westie or a cairn terrier.  I'll be whatever you want me to be as long as you love me.  I like other dogs, big and small and I love my orange kitty here at my foster home.  He was my first friend.  I climb all over him and he loves me for it.  I am a high energy pup with lots to explore and discover but when I get tired, can you please hold me so I can rest my head on your shoulder?  I am about 5-6 mos. old and I'm quite exquisite with my hazel eyes and pinkish nose.  I don't think I can spend a lot of time in the sun but that shouldn't be a problem since I will be kept inside to be spoiled rotten and sleep in the big bed.  I'm under 10 lbs and I probably will remain very small.  As much as I like to eat, I will want to keep my boyish figure.  I would love a home with another dog, one who can deal with my "terrier" side.  I like kids but I'm little so bigger kids would probably be best.  If I'm going to be carried around like a king, I need someone who can do it right ;-).  So hurry up and fill out an application.  The line forms to the left.
