Landon is a very handsome black and tan silver dapple boy with one stunning blue eye! This sweet boy has a heavy load of heartworms and will begin treatment in mid-September. He also has a heart murmur which will not be resolved with treatment for his heartworms or poor dental condition. Please keep him in your thoughts & prayers during this precarious period ahead. Landon is very sweet and affectionate toward people and other dogs. He loves to play with the dogs in his foster home. He's also making a lot of progress in his housetraining. He enjoys sleeping in the big bed, but doesn’t mind being in his crate.

Update:

Landon has completed his heartworm treatments and is ready to go to his forever home. He is the perfect indoor companion for both his forever family and another playful dog. Landon is a very sweet and easygoing guy except at mealtime when he lets you know he's hungry. And he loves to play vigorously every day with his much younger doxie pal here. At some time in the future, he may require a diuretic and/or other daily heart medication. But this is far from certain. He will definitely need his rescue dental when he tests negative for heartworms, hopefully in March. Please consider adding this beautiful little dachshund to your family. He is so deserving of a loving, forever family!

Update 4/10/11: Landon is now ready to leave the nest and go to his forever home. He is completely heartworm free and does not have a heart murmur at all! Landon is LOVE. He loves people and other dogs and will be a wonderful companion. Because he enjoys the company of other dogs, it is preferred that his forever family have at least one other dachshund.
