This is our PRECIOUS Maia (pronounced Mia) she is a VERY loving little girl that wants nothing more than to be loved, hugged and kissed. Maia didn’t have the best start; she was a lonely, neglected pregnant mother who just hours before her rescue had 5 newborn babies. She and her babies were safely rescued and now all babies are living in wonderful forever homes. Maia got her name from her rescue mom and in it’s original spelling means “great mother” and that’s exactly what she is, a GREAT mother! Now that the babies are grown and off on their own it’s time for Maia to find her perfect loving home with someone that will have as much love to give to Maia as she has to give to you. She is a perfect lady, very well behaved, housetrained, loves to be held like a baby (on her back) in your arms. This sweet angel is around 2 – 2 ½ yrs old, she’s a wire haired dachshund beauty. Maia prefers a calm house with a doting family, since Maia would love to have a stay at home mom / dad or even a retired person who can spend all day with her. A family would be great too, but preferred to have kids over 10yrs., Maia gets along great with other dogs, loves to go on car rides and likes to go on walks.
