Meet Wendy - she is new to rescue!  This pretty little Thanksgiving angel was found as a stray Thanksgiving week!  She is a dilute red wire haired mini dachshund!  She is a tiny 9 pound girl and very shy at first meeting.  Please stay tuned as we get to know her personality and can report a bit more!  She is full vetted, heartworm negative and ready for her forever home. 

Update: "Long gone are the days of Wendy hiding in the back of a crate or cowering with people bent to touch her.  Just like a butterfly, Wendy has emerged from her cocoon!  This tiny little girl has a great big personality!  Wendy loves to sleep on the "big bed" and is one of the best cuddlers I know!  She prefers to sleep under the covers so she can be touching her human companion all night.  Wendy enjoys the finer things in life - she is very driven by both treats and bones.  She is crate trained and gets along well with my other dogs, often encourging play.  She is able to make even the most reserved dog wrestle!  Wendy would love to have a permanent home soon - her motto is "great things come in small packages!"
