Hi, I'm Chloe! I’m not sure why I turned up in a kill shelter as an owner surrender. No one had fed me, bathed me, or clipped my nails for a very, very long time. I was so very skinny and my feet hurt from walking on my nails. I think I am about 8 years old, but it was hard for the doctor to guess because many of my teeth were gone They had to take out even more of them because my mouth was so infected so now I am learning to eat with less than half. My foster grandparents think I have spent a lot of time in an apartment because I was a bit hesitant to go into the back yard by myself, but when I see shoes & socks go on the human feet, I can happy dance myself right into my most favorite activity ..... my daily WALK!

Now that I've had a few weeks of healthy food, softened with warm water to accommodate my lack of teeth, and delicious yogurt for my malnourished skin, I’m turning into a busy and energetic little lady with my daily walks (did I mention how important those are to me). I love to sniff the yard, bark at the squirrels, and snuggle in the sunbeams that come in the windows. I love soft pillows, burrowing under blankets..…AND WALKS. I am not at all fond of going potty in the back yard in the rain or when the grass is wet, but I have learned to tiptoe on the flowerbed bricks. I don’t mind sleeping in my crate but I prefer a nice soft pillow or doggie bed on the floor right next to the BIG bed.

I get along fine with other dogs and I behave very nicely at PetSmart. I don't much like the frequent baths I'm had with the medicated shampoo, but I am very co-operative. Everyone calls me a sweetheart. I am completely vetted, heartworm negative, and ready for a forever home!
