Oscar was sprung from a north Texas kill shelter. He's a beautiful deep red with black sabling almost wild boar and much darker red than the picture shows. Oscar is a precious boy. He rides in the car well and seems to get along with the other foster siblings.
Oscar is a beautiful young man with a very gentlemanly manner. His beautiful dark red coat is soft and full and his conformation is classic dachshund. Oscar has a very easy going attitude and is content to sit with you all day long if that's your choice. He will interact with the other dogs, playing politely barking encouragement when they wrestle. He basically ignores the cat. He's been great with kids and loves to be held and hugged on. He's very aware of his environment and will alert to the door and cars in the drive with his deep deep woof. He sounds much bigger than he is and is therefore a great alarm dog for your house. He is crate trained and will hold his functions all night to be taken outside rather than soil his crate. He sleeps in the big bed with his foster parents and foster siblings. He is an overall precious boy that will make a wonderful companion for any type of home situation. He is a love.
