Chloe was surrendered to a Houston area animal shelter because her owner had too many dogs. The owner did not provide any information so little is known about Chloe's history. Chloe is mostly Dachshund but it is believed that she may have some Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mixed in! Chloe is estimated to be 5 years old and has a beautiful soft coat that is very easy to maintain. She is very sweet and loves to be in your lap. Chloe is perfecting her housetraining skills and has mastered the doggy door! She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys playing. Chloe has shown no interest in the cat that lives there. We believe that Chloe has had little experience with young children. Their movements make her a little nervous but she will tolerate gentle petting from them. She is fine with teens, men and women. Chloe is fully vetted, microchipped, on heartworm preventative and has had a dental! Please consider adding this beautiful girl to your family!
Update 3/26/13: Chloe is completely housetrained and uses the doggy door. She is not crate trained but does not require confinement as she is not destructive. She is a little intimidated by large dogs, is still learning to walk on a leash and feels a little insecure on walks. She doesn't play with the other dogs as much as she used too but still interacts with them. She really enjoys playing with toys by herself, throwing them in the air. Chloe is doing better around small children but I still feel she would appreciate a quieter home with teens and adults. She loves to go for car rides, likes to sleep in the big bed but also is content to sleep in her dog bed in the master bedroom. She is very sweet and will seek out attention but she is also happy to just be laying in her bed while I cook or do computer work. According to the DNA test we had done, she is one half Dachshund, one quarter Poodle and one quarter Chihuahua.
Chloe will make someone a wonderful pet. Please consider adopting her.
