Hi, my name is Maddox! I am a gentle, sweet boy looking for a forever home! I had a home once and a family I loved very much but they did not take good care of me and soon I was living on the streets as a stray. One day I was picked up by animal control and taken to the city pound. It was very loud and crowded there and I was so scared. I would hide in the corner and they told me shy dogs were not considered "adoptable." So I tried very hard to be brave but it just didn't work. Where was my family? Didn't they love me anymore?

Then one day, my luck changed! I was saved by Red Collar Rescue! Soon I was off to the vet where I got all my shots, neutered and microchipped. I am about 2 years old and weigh 20 lbs. I have a beautiful, soft, sleek white coat with tan spotted ears, a fluffy tail, and short, muscular legs.  My foster mom says I am so handsome and a “Mr. Casanova with the ladies .“ I love to sit in the nearest lap I can find and get cuddles and I listen intently while you talk to me. Praise and attention are just as much as a reward for me as treats.  My foster family has 4 cats and a large yellow lab and I get along with all of them. I love to play fetch and tug of war but I know which toys are mine and which belong to my humans. I also walk perfectly on a leash. I can be a little shy with strangers and strange dogs, but once my human tells me its ok, I relax and follow their lead. I never jump up on people and I mind my manners during mealtime too. My foster mom says I am a complete angel and that you can fall in love with me more and more each day.  I love my foster family too, but what I would really like is a forever home of my own.
