Description: Bella is a tiny 8#, 2-3 years old bundle of cuteness. She was a very neglected owner surrender to a shelter. After several weeks of good nutrition & medical attention for skin infections due to yeast & fleas, she is finally ready for her spay this week. She's eager for mealtime & has come to love the yogurt she has been having to help with the skin condition. AND fresh strawberries ... yes; bananas ... yes; green beans ... no; blueberries ... no; tomatoes ... no... (to be continued)! It will take a bit more time for that long sable fur to completely fill in, but everyday she is fluffier & fluffier.
She is not overly playful either with dogs or humans, but seems to prefer humans to the foster siblings she has met so far, and has no problems with children. Bella does stay in the crate when we are away from the house, but if her people are around, would much rather be in a lap or the big bed, and has no problem complaining until she gets her way. It took her about a minute to learn the doggie door, and she loves to go outside & sun on the patio. Grass .. not so much. She loves taking walks & does fine on a leash.
If Bella could talk, she would say: "Hi ya'll, my name is Bella, and I am about the cutest little thing you ever did see. I bounced around for awhile, and I was a flea covered disaster. A lot of my hair was just plain missing from various other infections. But now, the nice folks at ATDR have taken me in to their fold, and I am back to my adorable self. I get along with the other dog critters in my foster home, and I can guarantee I never met a stranger. One look at my cute little wiggle, and everyone is under my spell. I like to run and play, but snuggling is by far my favorite. Take a look and add that adoption application to your 'to do list,' TODAY!! PS I love alligator jerky so have a supply ready for me."
