Description:
Meet Charlie (Too) he was found in the woods, all alone before Christmas where he was though to be a black garbage bag since he wasn't moving at all.  On closer inspection these hunters realized that it was a dog and rushed in to rescue him!  They quickly found that he was paralyzed and unable to move his back legs at all.  The smartest hunter called his wife, who said - hurry home with him and we can get him to the vet!
A few email posts later and a lot of prayers and Charlie and a new foster family was welcomed into the ATDR fold!

Since that faithful day, Charlie was taken to Dr. Caplan at Capital Area Vet Specialists in Austin where he had back surgery to repair a broken spine!  The surgery relieved the pain but left Charlie unable to walk and unable to go to the bathroom on his own!  His foster Mom wouldn't give up on his and has been watching for any signs of movement over the past three weeks!

It finally happened, confirmed today (1/5/15) almost three weeks later - Charlie has feeling in his back legs!  He is also trying to stand and begining to move his feet and tail!  This is the best possible news and we are all thrilled that Charlie is doing so well!  Continued prayers, physical therapy and some acupuncture should have Charlie working hard over the next few weeks until his next recheck with Dr. Caplan!

Any donation towards his surgery or his continued treatment would be fabulous!
