Update:  Oscar is now ready to be adopted.   He successfully completed his heartworm treatment and is neutered. His favorite activity is lying in the warm sun in his backyard. An individual or family with time to give Oscar a lot of loving attention would be a dream-come-true for this little dachshund who was dumped in a city shelter by his owner.   Oscar loves people and gets along well with the dogs in his foster home.   An adoptable dachshund doesn’t get any better than little Oscar Mac.


Meet Oscar Mac, the new kid in town!  He is a handsome red tweenie with a lot of love to give!  He is about two years old according to his former owner and unfortunately heartworm positive.  He will be neutered right away and begin heartworm treatment soon!  He is almost perfect in everyway, says his foster Mom who adores him!  Oscar is housetrained and crate trained and worth the wait!  Please consider this beautiful boy for the dog of your dreams!
