Description: UPDATE: 04/14/16 - The 1st 3 pictures are current and shows how pretty she's become since growing her hair back.
This little 7 pound girl was turned over to ATDR for skin issues. She had very little hair and was quite miserable. During the course of her treatment it was discovered that she is totally deaf. She was more than willing to participate in playing, snuggling and interacting with her canine friends when she saw what to do but the poor little thing did not have a clue how to incorporate her silent life into the life that everyone else has. Of course being deaf, she barks the loudest simply because she can't hear herself .... but boy, can everyone else! Also, she can not come when you call her so she has learned to keep an eye on her other foster brothers and sisters. She comes a running when it's time to come in or go out. When she is out after dark her foster parents wave a flashlight on the front porch and she scoots right inside, ready to curl up in her blankets for the night. Her life has become a much happier and richer one since her deafness was discovered! Sadie is completely crate trained and house trained. She acts pretty tough when she meets a new dog but it's all an act ..... she does not have an ugly bone in her body.
03/07/2015 Sadie was surrendered to rescue when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She was a previous shelter rescue and her mange was never properly treated and allowed to get out of hand. Sadie has a beautiful spirit and someday with the right love and care she will once again regain her beautiful coat and feel better once more. Sadie will be going through a lot of medical treatment in the next few months and would love all of the good thoughts and support that she can get! Please keep her in your prayers and think good thoughts for a full recovery!
