Meet Frederick - a tiny 10lb man with boundless energy! How Fred wound up in a Dallas - Ft. Worth kill-shelter is anyone's guess??? Fortunately for Fred, the incredible network of Dachshund Rescue volunteers mobilized to give him a second chance at a good life. His journey took him south thru Waco, Austin and Katy where he met many of our faithful rescue volunteers - he has finally settled into his permanent foster home in Houston. Fred has new foster brothers and sisters to boss around, as he is the eldest in his foster's house. The vet places him between 12 and 14 years old - what a shock to a senior to be displaced during his golden years.
