Description: Chase is a very handsome chunk of a boy who needs to lose a little weight. He's a big baby who loves to be held like a baby in your arms and he will sleep there just fine. Hope you don't mind snoring because he can be quite loud at times. Chase loves to go on walks, he is crate trained but loves to sleep int he bed with you if you don't mind, housetrained and knows the dog door, don't have a dog door - no problem he goes to the door to let you know he needs out. He is not an alpha male, he is very laid back. Chase should not be placed with small children but he will do great with older children (10+). Chase loves to chase his ball, he doesn't exactly fetch but he likes to run and get it. He enjoys time with his rawhide chews too. Before coming into rescue, Chase spent a lot of time in a small pen locked up outside by himself. During that time he contracted heartworms that went undiagnosed and therefore untreated. He would not have survived another couple of months in his current condition. He has gone through heartworm treatment but he was so severe the vet said he would probably always test positive. He MUST have his heartguard medication every month. Chase's nick name is Elvis, when you pet him just the right way he does an "Elvis" lip curl. This boy is a bundle of love with a lot of life left in him. Please consider giving this special guy who had a hard life a forever home where he can share all the love he has to give.
