Description: Oscar is 12 years old and has had a hard life. In a previous home it is believed he was left out in the harsh cold Wisconsin winter and received frost bite on both of his ears. His next family seemed to have taken much better care of him, but he developed seizures which are controlled with medication.
Oscar came to his foster family in Texas through a wonderful lady that transported him at the last minute. He was not a happy dog on his trip and was reported by his vet and transporter to be a biter. Since he has been in his foster home he has been a happy guy, never offering to bite, with lots of love to give. He does great with his other foster dogs he even plays with the pups. He loves the human kids too.
Oscar has a problem with separation anxiety. His is true to Dachshund form in that he has his favorite squeaky toy. He likes to roll it off the couch and stare at it and make noise and for somebody to pick it up.
