Meet Beauregard, just sprung from the county lock-up!  

Beauregard is a Standard Dachshund mix who was rescued from a Houston area animal control facility after he was found stray.  We can't understand how anyone would have let him get away!  He is very sweet and is a laid back kind of guy.  He loves meeting new people and dogs.  Beauregard gets along very well with the dogs in his foster home and had no interest when introduced to the cat.  He is good with gentle children but toddlers may be a bit much for him.  He is a mature guy and appreciates his quiet time.  He is house trained and does not mark in the house.  He is not destructive and does not require confinement when his foster parents are away from the house.  He loves exploring in the yard but his favorite place is beside his humans on the couch.  If you are looking for low key companion Beauregard could be the dog for you!
