Bishop was found as a stray and turned into the county shelter with over 30 bite wounds!  He suffered from so many puncture wounds that he was swollen everywhere!  Bishop may have been the victim of a dog fight and was in terrible pain when he was found in a muddy ditch.  Fast forward a week and he has had quite a turnaround...
Our sweet boy has been to the vet three times - including antibiotics, clearning of his wounds, an insertion of a drain to keep the bigger wounds open and draining the infected fluid and most recently a neuter!  All of those things and a lot of TLC has helped our guy recovery quickly!  Next week we will be removing the drain and it will be uphill from there.  Heartworm treatment will be the next hurdle, so stay tuned for more on this very loving and forgiving standard male.
