Blanche thankfully celebrated the holidays with ATDR this at the end of the year. She was found on a cold morning after she'd climbed inside a cat crate in the night which was left out for feral kitties, obviously trying to stay a little safer and warmer.
Blanche loves being near her foster mom and her employees. She often finds herself torn between her loyalty for her foster mom and that for the kind person who feeds and walks her most days. She also loves to be with the other Doxies in her foster home. Blanche is less than thrilled with cats, which is an understatement. She actually goes crazy barking at them when she knows they are around. Blanche is vision impaired. We think she probably only sees shadows but that doesn't stop her from getting around, or from chasing anything that moves as her nose seems to work just fine. She was recently responsible for running a raccoon out of its hiding place and has caught several lizards to date. Spring frog season should be a great adventure! She is potty trained, walks well on a leash and is fine in a kennel but would prefer not to be in one. Since she is well mannered, her foster mom has had no reason to kennel her for more than just drying her after her bath.
Health issues are currently being addressed by ATDR before she'll be ready for adoption. Won't you consider making 2017 a happier year for Blanche by making her a part of your family when she's ready? She would love you more than you could ever imagine...
